Create a logo for the fictive company ‘Ichikawa Insurance Co.’ which is based on the infinity sign.

Challenges
Creating a new and original logo with the mathematic infinity sign is close to impossible since it is very frequently used. It takes very little research to find a variety of well-known logos that are based on the infinity sign eg. Meta and Kræftens Bekæmpelse. Make small changes to the sign and the logo might look like an ‘s’ or the number eight. Make bigger adjustments and you risk creating a logo that resembles the Adobe Cloud logo, celtic knot or maybe even the Macintosh ‘Command’ button.

There are multiple alternatives to the classic infinity sign that will still signify ‘endlessness’, though not many are suitable. Certain Lissajous curves are endless and so is the Möbius Strip.

The Logo
The logo mark I’ve created is a combination of the Möbius Strip and the mathematic infinity sign. At a glance, the logo mark looks like a human pictogram to create a sense of trust and signalise that the main priority of this company is their customers. The logo mark also includes the letters ‘I’ and ‘C’ for ‘Ichikawa Insurance Co.’ I’ve used the font named Eras ITC since this signals professionalism and strenght which you would want from your insurance company.
